The horse-drawn plow was quickly replaced by the tractor in the early 1900s. Tractors are the workhorse of the farm and used to plow, plant, cultivate, fertilize, and harvest crops. This exhibit building features locally built tractors such as Holt-Caterpillar, Harris, and Samson, as well as locally used John Deere, Ford, International Harvester, Cletrac, and Allis-Chalmers. Look for our oldest built tractor and the asparagus tractor (the one without the seat) when you visit!
